    The route will go past different points in S. Miguel, always in the company of a guide from AAA, who will give the participants an intro on the themes to be addressed on the coming days. Emphasis on the major pros and cons of the environmental situation as we go by.

    Introduction to the theme, historic background of the Azores Islands, relevance of the ecosystem, biologic aspects of whales. Approach on conservation versus use of resources.

    Observation of whales out in the sea – approaching theory and practice, satisfying expectations, creating synergies and personal interests. An awareness of the youngsters through their scientific interest but also through their emotional connection with whales is intended.
